Highlights New Law Benefiting Rural Hospitals
BENTON, ILL -- Governor Pat Quinn toured several healthcare facilities in southern Illinois to highlight a new law that will benefit critical access hospitals, especially in rural parts of the state, and nursing home reforms.
“It is critical that all Illinoisans have access to the medical care they need to live healthy lives. It is also very important that our most vulnerable citizens are kept safe when receiving care at a hospital or nursing home,” said Governor Quinn. “We must continue to do everything we can, including enacting good legislation, to improve our healthcare system.”

. Hundreds of hospital team members, donors and supporters from the community attended the topping out ceremony for the South Wing, a new patient tower that is the largest construction project in the history of Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Mr. Ball brings 40 years of experience in projects that are geographically diverse and address a wide spectrum of healthcare needs, including community hospitals, specialty hospitals, major urban medical centers, and academic institutions. Mr. Ball’s extensive résumé has provided him with sensitivity to the pressures and business challenges present in the healthcare industry today. Building on the strength of URS's national healthcare experience, Mr. Ball will support the firm's leadership position in this vital arena of architecture, engineering and planning.
