BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Princeton Baptist Medical Center began construction of a $57 million expansion at its existing campus Wednesday, July 14.

Hospital officials and city leaders broke ground on the project that will include renovation of 16 hospital operating rooms and add more than 90,000 square feet of space for surgical recovery and improved patient and visitor access.

After a thorough and thoughtful review process with input from communities throughout the region, six area hospitals have approved a plan to move forward with the creation of the new Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin to provide specialized cancer treatment services for patients in the western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota region.

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Just one year ago, hundreds of local citizens, board members, civic leaders and executives gathered for the official ribbon cutting for El Camino Hospital Los Gatos.

In an effort to bring its community model of health care delivery to Los Gatos and surrounding communities, El Camino Hospital had purchased the Los Gatos facility, previously operated by Tenet Healthcare Corp., and briefly closed it to make more than 100 key technology upgrades and train hundreds of staff and physicians. The hospital also worked closely with community groups and South Bay physicians to determine what key health services were needed. The planning and effort was coming to fruition.
